The MUX100 NMEA multiplexer is a two channel NMEA 0183 data combiner capable of resolving most NMEA interfacing issues. It has two NMEA inputs for 4800 and 38400 baud connectivity and dual outputs.
The most popular configuration is to accept high speed data from an AIS device and combine with slower speed GPS and instrument data into a single output for a chart plotter. It will even “strip out” GPS positioning data at 4800 baud and provide a feed to a DSC VHF. All good stuff and often sorts a Monday morning tech support call. Watch the video to find out more.
