NavLink – the simple way to get wireless NMEA2000

NavLink and iPad

With thoughts turning to the sailing season, why not get more out of your boat’s NMEA2000 network, by connecting our NavLink wireless NMEA2000 server. Just plug the integral NMEA2000 cable to a spare “T-Piece” on your network and you will immediately have wireless NMEA2000 – its as simple as that.

As soon as your network is powered up, the NavLink will create a wireless access point and start streaming the wireless NMEA2000 to your Apple or Android device. Many Apps can read and display this data (click here to see earlier article on Apple Apps) but our very own NavLink App is a very cost effective charting system that will display your boat’s position along with Live AIS data on the latest S57 vector charts from various HOs.

Two versions of the NavLink App are available for Apple iPhones and iPads;

  1. The new NavLink US App that comes with a full set of NOAA charts for the US coasts, Great Lakes and major rivers
  2. NavLink UK that comes with a full set of UKHO derived vector charts for the UK+Ireland and will soon have the option to buy French, Benelux, German or Danish charts as additional in-app purchases

Other charting apps that support AIS and are worth checking out are iNavX, iSailor and Imray.
