Ours SC500 plotter has had a software make over to really improve the way AIS targets are displayed and allow easier navigation. The new software works with both models – the SC500 which is designed to connect to an existing AIS receiver or transponder and the SC500A which incorporates an AIS receiver.
Key features of the new software include colour coded targets (allowing easy identification), an AIS target list which is sortable on paramaters such as distance, closest point of approach (CPA) and TCPA and a target tracking feature which allows you to see a snails trail view of targets as they approach you
