The situation regarding Brexit, EU future trading arrangements and customs procedures continues to be unclear. It is, however, the case that the UK will leave the EU Custom’s Union on 1/1/2021 and we want this to have minimal impact on our future trading relationship.
We appreciate that even if there are no duties or tariffs, trading with a business outside of the EU block could cause additional headaches with customs clearance, delays and payment of local VAT.
To mitigate any possible issues, we have put in place a new pan European distribution capability through our French subsidiary Digital Yacht SARL. Our plan will be to process and ship our EU orders through this office effective from 1st January 2021 and items will ship from here for pan European, free market deliveries. This applies to end users as well as our dealers and distributors in the EU region.
Euro prices, discounts and general conditions will remain unchanged with fast deliveries utilising DHL and Fedex and current EU administration rules applying.
Of course, you can still elect place orders through Digital Yacht UK so the choice is yours. Billing will be in EUR through both companies. You can continue to reach your regular contacts through our existing UK email and telephone details so it will feel like a seamless change.
