NMEA 2000 Alert System

With the release of our new NAVAlarm, the world’s first Klaxon for NMEA 2000 Alerts, it is now possible to create a stand alone NMEA 2000 Alert system, that can sound an alarm(s) for any condition that occurs on the NMEA 2000 network.

Alert conditions can be configured in the NAVAlert’s internal web interface and once that condition occurs, the NAVAlert will transmit an Alert PGN (126983) that will trigger the NAVAlarm to sound an alarm. The alarm sound can be silenced, either by pressing the push switch on the NAVAlert or on the NAVAlarm which causes an Alert Reponse PGN (126984) to be transmitted.

The Alert can only be acknowledged by the NAVAlert as it needs the user to view what has caused the alarm and press an acknowledge button in the web interface.

In addition to reacting to NMEA 2000 Alerts, NAVAlarm will also sound a different, louder alarm tone, if it receives an AIS MOB PGN or MOB PGN.

This exciting combination of products, will for the first time allow the full power of NMEA 2000 Alerts to be realised and are the perfect companions for any Garmin system, that also support NMEA 2000 Alerts.
