Digital Yacht have introduced the S185 water resistant PC display – a new hi-brightness, LCD touch screen monitor designed for use on board and in bright conditions. It brings affordable PC navigation to boats with its large 18.5” screen and supports 1920×1080 resolution for true HD navigation presentations.
With a PCAP multi point touchscreen, operation of marine charting software such as TimeZero, Coastal Explorer and SmarterTrack becomes easy with fast, multi point pinch in-out zooming, easy panning of charts and access to the software controls with just a finger.
Users can enable an on-screen keyboard so there’s no need for any other input to the PC by keyboard or mouse. With a 1000cd brightness and optically bonded display, it’s good in bright sunlight too.
When paired with a Digital Yacht Aqua Windows 11 PC system you’ll have ultra fast chart redraws, unmatched by any chart plotter and the ability to run multiple applications alongside each other. These can also be pre-loaded with navigation software for a turn-key solution and NMEA 2000 connectivity.
You can also connect to a regular laptop via VGA and HDMI connections. Aqua PC’s support up to 3 monitors so the S185 can be paired with multiple displays. The monitors can also be configured in portrait or landscape format creating a nav display of your choice.
The S185 is water resistant to IPx5 when flush mounted so offers good protection against water, rain and spray. Once flush mounted, the monitor projects just 6mm from the front panel for a stylish and flush, glass bridge display.
