Two Interesting 4GConnect Installations

Our popular 4GConnect Pro mobile internet system for boats, is finding its way on to more and more vessels wanting easy internet connectivity onboard. This week we received positive feedback from two interesting installations.

The first was onboard the “Spirit of Loch Ness” trip boat, where two 4GConnects were installed, one to allow the crew to take credit card payments and the second to allow passengers to post their “Selfies with Nessie”!

Installed by our experienced, East Scotland based, dealer; Echomaster Marine, the dual 4GConnect installation will keep passengers connected whilst they enjoy the sights on Loch Ness, but also give the crew their own dedicated high speed internet connection on two completely separate wireless networks.

The second 4GConnect installation was onboard the new Northumberland Fisheries Protection vessel, being demonstrated at the SeaWork exhibition in Southampton. Manufactured by Ribcraft, the UK’s leading supplier of professional, custom designed Ribs, the new owners had been very impressed with the range and speed of the 4GConnect mobile data connection during the sea trials.

Tucked away inside the covered wheel house, with dual antennas on the roof, the 4GConnect installation should provide the crew with a stable internet connection within the inshore fisheries zone that they patrol.
