For many years, we have included a CD-ROM with our products that contained all of the Software tools and USB drivers. However, times are a changing and many new PCs and Macs no longer have an integral CD/DVD drive and most customers are now happy to download the latest versions from our website.
Also CDs/DVDs are not recyclable, which many people do not realise, and to make 30 CDs consumes 2 cups of crude oil, 300 cubic feet of natural gas and 24 gallons of water, so global CD/DVD manufacturing has a considerable negative impact on the environment.
For these two important reasons, we have taken the decision to no longer include a CD wth our products, but rather direct all of our customers to our new “Online CD” where all of the tools and drivers are available to download.
