UK Marine Industry Speaks Out – Results of our Covid Impact Survey

Last week,  we asked our limited but representative 300 UK marine trade contacts to complete a simple questionnaire on the impact of Covid on their business.  These companies range from dealers and installers, retail shops, training organisations and boat builders.  All the results are available to download from HERE together with interesting comments which may help the whole industry shape their ideas.  Below shows the answer to one of the questions and the impact Covid has had on the UK marine trade.

Naturally, there was some pessimism.  However, the industry and boaters received a green light to go back to boating yesterday (Wed 13th May) with the Government announcement that owners could return to their boats – and ports, marinas and coastal areas will open for navigation.  The summer looks much brighter now with boating back in action – and what a great pastime for Covid safety, health, enjoyment and fun. Now is definitely the time to start boating!

Digital Yacht has been open – shipping and manufacturing with a more limited operation and staying Covid secure with new working practices

Thank you to all who completed and hopefully these results are useful for the whole industry.  Stay safe.
