It’s been a challenging year for everyone but we think that boating and the maritime environment has been a blessing with all the pandemic restrictions. “Work from boat” really has become a reality and hopefully our internet access products like 4G Connect and 4G Xtream have made this a reality.
Innovation remains at the heart of everything we do like the new NavAlert product which received a METS DAME Design Award nomination. This offers alerting and monitoring of any NMEA 2000 boat data and features a slick web interface to allow set up from any connected phone or tablet. It also integrates with Garmin multifunction displays so alerts pop up on the MFD display.
Digital Yacht will close for Christmas holidays from 24th December to 4th January. During this time, we will have no logistics or shipping operations and any orders placed during this period will be processed on our return.

We’ve also been busy – our new European office opened 1st January. Based in Rouen, France and headed up by Nic Guerin, it now handles sales, marketing and logistics for customers in the EU so there’s no sticky Brexit issues or complicated custom’s procedures with our intra EU deliveries. We’ve also expanded our UK R&D operation with the purchase of the adjacent building effectively doubling our space for development.
