For all the Digital Yacht team, family, friends, colleagues and customers, Monday 19th September, 2022 will be a sad day when we see Queen Elizabeth II laid to rest at her State Funeral. It is a national holiday and Digital Yacht will be closed to honour her reign, service and exceptional life.
She was the UK’s longest-serving monarch and died at Balmoral, on her Scottish estate, 8th September aged 96. The Queen came to the throne in 1952 and witnessed enormous social, environmental and business change in those 70 years.
Digital Yacht was honoured with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2022 which is the most prestigious award for UK business. It was an amazing experience to visit Buckingham Palace in July and meet the now King, Charles III and also Princess Anne who has done so much to champion boating and the marine industry.
We, and our generation are truly honoured to have had her eye of guidance, words and actions over these 70 years.
God bless.
