Digital Yacht launch new commercial range of products with introduction of CLA2000 Class A AIS Transponder

CLA2000 is a Class A AIS Transponder

Digital Yacht have unveiled a new range of marine electronic products designed for the professional market including super-yacht, commercial shipping, work-boat, fishing and naval applications. First up of these Digital Deep Sea branded systems is the CLA2000 Class A AIS transponder.

A Class A AIS transponder is a mandated product for all vessels over 300 GRT and many smaller fishing and work-boats.  The CLA2000 is IMO/SOLAS approved and also accepted for use on EU Inland Waterways where all vessels over 20m must be equipped with a Class A AIS.

Compact and waterproof, the CLA 2000 features a bright 5″ colour screen to view AIS data such as a target list or plotter display.  A simple rotary encoder makes entry of voyage data and vessel status easy plus there’s the option of plug-in, standard C-Map charts if you want a detailed charting background.

It features multiple NMEA 0183 ports, NMEA 2000 connectivity and also a wireless interface so users can integrate with iPads and tablets running navigation software.  This is a very popular option for harbour pilots and captains.

It’s been optimised for AIS safety too with unique displays for AIS SART MOB devices for man-over-board alerts as well as ATON (aid to navigation) data.

nstallation is easy with no specialist break out box or black box transceiver required.  Everything is integrated into the display.  The CLA2000 is priced at £1795 ex vat and is available now.  More information at www.digitalyacht.co.uk or www.digitaldeepsea.com
