Among the 2024 new releases is CO Alert. CO Alert is our new NMEA 2000 carbon monoxide alarm that won a special mention at METS Trade 2023. Carbon monoxide poisoning is a threat to boaters due to it’s odourless nature and it can be hard to detect.
A typical alarm could be installed but these have limitations for on board use, such as the internal battery they usually use. This will often expire when left for long periods of time and is too easy to forget to replace with seasonal use on a boat.
CO Alert from Digital Yacht is specifically built for demanding, maritime environments. It creates an audible alarm on board the vessel. It also sends an NMEA 2000 alarm message, which can be displayed on a Garmin MFD or with our NavAlert product.
When combined with one of our 4G/5G Xtream, SMS messages can be generated to receive an SMS alarm directly on your phone.
